Capstone reading & poetry walk
Free + all ages + bring your own chair
Join local poet Marcia Ratliff for a short reading, then enjoy a walk featuring some of her poems in Windom Park.
This event celebrates the Writing in Place project, which Marcia created in 2021 in Winona. She hosted a pop-up writing booth in public places and wrote poems inspired by each place. For more about the project, head over to the Writing in Place Project page.
If you wrote a poem inspired by the Writing in Place project, you are invited to share it at the event. Bring your own chair or blanket if you'd like to sit for the reading.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.
